It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing this statement. After 9 years of providing an unique, industrial chic venue for so many wonderful weddings and events to be held and countless memories to be made; effective December 18, 2024, The Cloth Mill will be closing it’s doors for the very last time.
When I had the vision of opening The Cloth Mill back in 2015, I wanted to provide a space that was unlike any other venue in the triangle. I wanted every couple/client to have the ability to create the wedding/event of their dreams without having to sacrifice their vison or break the bank. 8 out of the 9 years, I watched that vision become a reality with every single event that was held in The Cloth Mill.
Unfortunately, after a rough year, our landlord has decided not to continue on with our lease or the prospect of having a venue on property. I am devastated by their decision and even after stepping back into the role of venue management to bring back the venue to its glory days over the past 2 months.
The venue was not only a special place for every couple/client who held their event here but it means so much to me and my family as we have celebrated countless occasions at The Cloth Mill which will live on in our memories.
I want to personally thank every single person who hosted their wedding, event, gala, birthday party, holiday party, concert, meeting, and other special events at The Cloth Mill. Thank you for taking a chance on me and my team to provide you with a space and experience to host your event and create wonderful memories. I have enjoyed getting to know you all and being there for you on some the most important days of your lives. Every single one of you have a special place in my heart and you will never be forgotten.
Also, thank you to the Town of Hillsborough and my fellow local businesses for welcoming The Cloth Mill into your town and for supporting us. We have enjoyed being a part of the community and being able to introduce so many people to the town via our events.
Thank you to my fellow wedding and event professionals for all the love and support you have given over the last 9 years. It has been an honor to be apart of such a wonderful community of creatives and like minded people who dedicate their lives to making dreams come true for so many people. I will miss the collaboration and community.
Lastly, thank you to my husband who believed in me when I came to him in 2015 and said I wanted to open up a wedding venue in Hillsborough. He has been beside me cheering me on every single day through all the good and bad. I love him for his unwavering support of me and my dream.
Thank you again. Cheers to love and dreaming big!!
